
Rental Terms and Conditions
Rental pick-up is between 9:00 am and 10:00 am. Weekday rentals are Monday-Thursday. Weekend rentals are Friday- Sunday.
Rental Times are from 9:00 am – 5:00 pm
Cancellation Policy:
Weekday rentals must be canceled 72 hours in advance with a $150 non-refundable payment.
Holiday and weekend rentals must be canceled two weeks in advance with a $150 non-refundable payment. No Refunds, Reschedules only!
Eligible Renters:
Renters must be at least 21 years old and in possession of a valid driver’s license. Any and all boaters born after January 1, 1989, are required by Cherokee Boat Club and TN state law to possess a valid Boater’s Safety Course Certificate.
The person who signs the rental contract is defined as the driver and the only individual allowed to operate the vessel during the contracted time period. Operators must have prior boating experience before operating our vessels.
Rental Process:
Renters can use our website or can call to book their outings. Rentals are on a first come first serve basis and the only way to guarantee your rental is with a $250.00 plus tax deposit. The remaining balance will be taken at the start of your rental period. You must present the same card used for your deposit to pay the remaining balance.
Accepted Forms of Payment: Credit Cards, Cash, or Check.
*9.75% Sales Tax, 3.3% USACE Tax, and a 4% Credit Card Fee
Important Info:
Rental boats come with a full tank of gas. Renters are responsible for the fuel used after their outing. After your rental outing, we will fill the boat up upon your arrival, and the renter is responsible for the cost of fuel at that time.

Damages:
The boat will be assessed for any damages at the return of the rental. Renters are responsible for all damages incurred during their rental period up to $2,500.00. Damages will be estimated and charged to the renter. Refusal to pay for damages assessed will result in immediate notification to all credit reporting agencies, and we will file a suit with small claims court where you will be required to pay our attorney’s fees and court costs in addition to the charge for damages. If you do not agree with our assessed damage cost, we will at the time charge you the full $2,500.00 and have the damages professionally repaired. If any of the $2,500.00 is remaining, we will refund you that remaining amount. Any refusals to pay for damages will result in a permanent ban from Cherokee Boat Club, LLC.
Rental Returns: Boats must be returned by 5:00 pm, or a late fee of $100.00 every 15 minutes past 5:00 pm will be charged.
Fishing: The Hurricane Deck Boat is the only boat you may fish from.
Safety:
The operator of the vessel is responsible for everyone’s safety at all times while aboard a Cherokee Boat Club, LLC vessel. Failure to do so can result in injuries, death, and damages. There will be a brief safety meeting for all passengers prior to your outing.
Cleaning Charge:
If the boat is returned in a manner in which it takes extra effort to clean (trash everywhere, covered in dirt or mud, stains, food, etc., there will be a $25 charge.
Weather Policy:
If there are inclement weather conditions in the area prior to your outing, the rental will be postponed or delayed until it is safe to go out on the water.
Inclement weather is defined as weather where there are unsafe conditions, such as a warning of severe, high wind advisory, lightning, or tornado as defined by the National Weather Service.
You are able to reschedule the reservation during the same rental request (weekday for weekday or weekend for weekend), depending on boat availability. If weather conditions are overcast, cloudy, and/or rainy, but there are no warnings that have been issued by the NWS, your rental still stands for that day.
If the weather takes a turn during your outing, seek an immediate place of safety. This can be a protected cove, unoccupied dock, protected shoreline, or inlet.
